Job Description: As the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Swiftly Telemedicine, you will be instrumental in shaping the technological foundation of our platform, enabling us to fulfill our mission of bridging the healthcare gap in Uganda.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Technology Strategy and Leadership:
    • Develop and execute the technology strategy, aligning it with the company's mission and goals.
    • Provide visionary leadership for the technology team, fostering innovation and staying abreast of emerging healthcare technology trends.
  2. Product Development:
    • Oversee the end-to-end product development process, from concept to delivery, ensuring that the platform is user-friendly and efficient.
    • Collaborate with the product team to create a seamless telemedicine experience for both patients and healthcare providers.
  3. Technical Architecture:
    • Design and maintain a robust and scalable technical architecture that can support Swiftly's growth and increasing user base.
    • Ensure that the platform is secure and complies with relevant data protection regulations.
  4. Team Building and Management:
    • Recruit, mentor, and manage a highly skilled technology team, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
    • Encourage collaboration and efficient workflows within the technology department.
  5. Innovation and Research:
    • Lead research initiatives into telemedicine technology advancements, exploring new tools, platforms, and partnerships that can enhance Swiftly's services.
  6. Quality Assurance:
    • Implement rigorous quality assurance practices to maintain a high standard of technological and operational excellence.
    • Oversee testing and continuous improvement of the platform.
  7. Scalability and Performance:
    • Ensure the platform can handle growing user demand and adapt to market changes while maintaining high performance.
  8. Budget and Resource Management:
    • Develop and manage the technology budget, allocating resources effectively to meet project deadlines and business objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a leadership role in software development and technology management.
  • Knowledge of healthcare technology and telemedicine platforms is advantageous.
  • Strong project management skills and experience with agile development methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with compliance standards, data security, and regulations related to healthcare technology.
